In the Upper Valais there are various special integration offers for immigrants to help them organise their life and leisure time. At this point we would like to introduce you to some of these regional offers.
The women's meeting takes place regularly once a month in Brig-Glis and in Visp. Women from different nations meet to discuss topics specific to women.
The topics for the half-year programme are discussed together with the participating women. After the official round of talks there will be coffee and cake. At the women's meeting, immigrant women can make new contacts and improve their German language skills.
The meetings are organised by Forum Migration Oberwallis, Aidshilfe Oberwallis and the SIPE advice centre. Here you can find the current program.

The Men's Table is a meeting by and for men with a migration background. They are informal meetings with topics of conversation about everyday life, such as work, health and family.
The aim of the men's meeting is to improve the integration of men. The men's tables are organised by a moderator and take place in the Upper Valais region in the respective cultural area.
Participation in the men's tables is free of charge.

In addition to German and French literature, the most common "migration languages" such as Albanian, Tamil, Tigrinya, Arabic, Serbian as well as English, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese are represented.
The books are offered for reading on site. More information is available on the website:
WIWA is a project of the Upper Valais Regional Economic Centre and aims to activate the immigration of foreign skilled workers and to offer them optimal conditions for living in the Upper Valais.
Integration through cooking, eating, exchanging and getting to know each other. Because all this connects and helps to overcome boundaries. Each event is dedicated to a country, its (food) culture, recipes, people, traditions and stories behind it, and the specialities are tasted and enjoyed together.
KulturESSiert takes place twice a year in the Zeughaus Kultur in Brig. There is a free cooking workshop in the afternoon and a public buffet in the evening.
